Know Your Brand Touchpoints
A brand touch point is essentially a point of contact with your customer, anywhere they will experience your brand. From your website right through to your packaging and emails, these are all vital touch points you need to consider.
It is super important to know what all of these touch points are for your brand so that you can ensure each and every one of them is consistent and reflects your brand guidelines. This in turn will build customer recognition and support the growth of growing your tribe of followers.
Each element you produce for your business, whether its digital or physical should have the same look, feel and tone of voice so that eventually people will start to see these elements and instantly associate them with your business. Think about brands that you love that you can easily recognise from a piece of marketing material you see or a tag line or advert.
So what are these brand touch points?
Shop front (if you indeed have a physical bricks and mortar premises)
Posters/Flyers and any other marketing materials
Packaging (including address labels and packing slips)
Adverts (printed in magazines or publications)
Business Documents (letterheads, contracts etc.)
Social media platforms (cover images, profiles and also post content)
Digital documents (these may be online contracts etc)
Now that we’ve gone through a checklist of brand touch points it’s a great exercise to go through your business and see whether all of your touch points are on brand and that you are being consistent. Remember, each inconsistency may be damaging you brand and hindering the holy grail of customer recognition.
